Wamatech was founded in 1997 as an agent and distributor specializing in selling solutions to waste management and recycling.

The story of Wamatech A/S
1997 – WAMATECH A/S was established in 1997 by engineer Finn Schnoor, who brought many years of experience from the waste management industry.
With his deep technical knowledge and strong understanding of recycling and waste handling, he laid the foundation for the company’s expertise and innovative approach.
2005 – Engineer Poul Steffensen joined WAMATECH. Originally trained as an agricultural mechanic, Poul brought extensive hands-on experience from his roles as both project manager and managing director in various companies. Having worked in the waste industry since 1994, he developed a thorough understanding of both the technical possibilities and customer needs within the sector.
2025 – Danish Generational Transition In 2025, took place as Jens Heimburger acquired the majority of shares, and René Mulvad was appointed as Managing Director.
Over the years, WAMATECH A/S has evolved into a leading designer and supplier of turn-key plants. With more than 20 years of experience, we design and deliver tailor-made systems that perfectly match our customers’ needs.
We maintain our own spare parts warehouse and in-house service department to ensure fast and efficient service, minimizing downtime and securing long-term performance.
We design and engineer complete processing plants for all types of recyclable materials — including plastic, cardboard, paper, textiles, WEEE (electronic waste), tyres, cables, and end-of-life vehicles — for baling, shredding, and sorting.
